On March 6, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária, ANVISA) published Resolução da Diretoria Colegiada (RDC) No. 7 and RDC No. 8. RDC No. 7 regulates the use of technological coadjuvants in the manufacture of fruit and vegetable products. RDC No. 8 regulates the use of food additives in fruit and vegetable products. The regulations are available only in Portuguese. A full list of Brazil's food additive regulations can be found on ANVISA's Food Additive Legislation page.

The new regulations are currently being analyzed and entered into the International Food Additive Database.
