Moscow AIF News on March 15, the head of Russia's Technical Committee for Standardization said: experts in the country are stepping up the revision of the national standards on milk and dairy products, the new standards will stipulate the prohibition of antibiotics in milk and its products.

According to experts, if a person uses antibiotics for a long time and forms a habit, then during his illness, the necessary drugs containing such antibiotics may not be able to exert their due efficacy. Therefore, the Russian market needs stricter standards to regulate the use of antibiotics.

It is reported that the Standardization Technical Committee will review the preliminary draft of the new standard for dairy products industry on April 16, and the method for rapid determination of antibiotic content in such products is also under development.
