Smart BalanceHeart-healthy spreads and gluten-free giant Smart Balance has changed its name to Boulder Brands.

The New Jersey-based firm, which is on a mission to become “the leading health and wellness company building out and acquiring natural brands,” said the new name would better reflect its “recent transformation to a company with multiple brands.”

The company's primary corporate offices will move to Boulder, Col., this summer.

Company offices in Denver and Niwot will be consolidated in Boulder, along with the relocation of a handful of out-of-state employees, while employees based at the Paramus office in New Jersey will remain in place, said the firm.
