Ideal for products requiring intense flavour and visual appeal, deZaan D11SQ provides a strong, clean cocoa taste and bridges the gap between popular brown and red powders to offer a unique, attractive appearance in end products. ADM Cocoa has launched the product to meet increasing consumer demand. The use of intense flavoured cocoa products has steadily risen over the past 5 years in a number of applications, including bakery, beverages, desserts and ice-cream.

The new powder complements deZaan’s world-class range of cocoa powders, which includes the versatile deZaan D11S and D21S powders and, for specific applications, deZaan D11EB extra black powder, deZaan F11FR Fresco powder for fermented dairy products and the deZaan ZR range for intense chocolate flavour.

deZaan D11SQ fits well within ADM Cocoa’s “Less is More” programme, which helps manufacturers lower costs without affecting quality, by using smaller quantities of powder to achieve the same, or better results than conventional products. The new powder provides the same full body flavour and impact level but at a lower dose rate than standard powders.

ADM’s customers benefit from the company’s formulation and technical expertise which is shared via its Advantage Centres in Koog aan deZaan, Netherlands, Liverpool, UK, Mannheim, Germany, Milwaukee, USA and Singapore. Here, customers can access pilot facilities, technical demonstrations and cocoa and chocolate seminars, as well as bespoke technical solutions to their individual challenges. With these facilities and resources, ADM’s resident technologists help customers reduce product development timeframes and improve speed to market.
