Wingstop Restaurants has signed a new development agreement with Wingstop Philippines to open 50 restaurants across Philippines, a move which marks the brand’s entry into the country.

The first outlet under the deal is scheduled to open in late 2014.

Wingstop recently opened new restaurants in Russia and Singapore. The restaurant chain currently has more than 600 restaurants across the world, with commitments for over 500 additional restaurants.

Wingstop chief development officer Dave Vernon said that the company is excited to enter the Philippines and to embark on another great international partnership.

"Following a record-breaking year of development in 2013, the demand for Wingstop continues to flourish around the globe. This agreement puts us well on our way to what we expect to be another record year of growth for Wingstop," Vernon added.

Founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, Wingstop Restaurants operates more than 600 restaurants either open or in development.
