Alfa Laval, Inc., Richmond, Va., acquired Niagara Blower Co., a Buffalo, N.Y.-based manufacturer of energy-efficient niche heat transfer solutions. The company’s products are engineered-to-order and suited for use in the oil and gas processing and food and beverage industries.

“The acquisition of Niagara Blower brings in new and complementary heat transfer products, mainly air-cooled heat exchangers, which further strengthen our offering to the oil and gas processing industries. They strengthen our U.S. portfolio and will gradually also be added to our product offering on a global scale,” says Lars Renström, president and CEO.

The intention is to integrate Niagara Blower, which has about 120 employees, into the segment Energy & Environment, within the Process Technology Division.
