The Jimmy Dean brand, a Hillshire Brands Co. business, is launching three new savory and convenient breakfast items – two of which contain no meat.

Its new Garden Blend Breakfast Bowl is the first Jimmy Dean breakfast bowl without meat in the Delights line. This new item features scrambled egg whites, diced potatoes, cheddar cheese, peppers and onions, and contains 240 calories, 10 grams of fat and 18 grams of protein per serving.

The Jimmy Dean brand also launched two new sandwich varieties. Jimmy Dean Egg, Red Peppers, Onions and Pepper Jack Cheese Croissant Sandwiches are meal-size, meatless sandwiches served on a savory croissant. Each serving contains 290 calories and 10 grams of protein. Jimmy Dean Maple Pancake and Sausage Snack Size Sandwiches combine sweet and savory flavors. The mini-sandwiches feature a Jimmy Dean maple sausage patty between two maple pancakes. Product is ready in about one minute from the microwave.

“The busy back-to-school season brings new challenges as schedules become more packed and mornings become rushed,” said Amy Grabow, vice president, marketing, the Jimmy Dean brand. “But consumers don’t have to sacrifice a delicious, hot breakfast on a weekday morning just because of hectic schedules. This back-to-school season, we’ve introduced three new convenient Jimmy Dean breakfast offerings that are ready from the microwave in minutes, making it easier for families to start the day with a tasty, satisfying breakfast.”

The new Jimmy Dean breakfast products will be available in grocery stores nationwide beginning this month.
