Ocean Wise, Vancouver Aquarium's national sustainable seafood program, announced Toronto-based Just Sushi as the first sushi restaurant in the world to offer a 100 percent Ocean Wise recommended menu.

“We applaud the all-inclusive commitment of Just Sushi to sustainability," said Robin Poirier, Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise account representative for eastern Canada. “Just Sushi’s comprehensive effort goes beyond its 100 percent sustainable menu. The team’s commitment to sustainability also applies to its business model and facility.”

“I speak for the whole team at Just Sushi when I convey how proud we all are to be the first sushi establishment in the world to offer a 100 percent Ocean Wise recommended menu," said Evan Clifford, Just Sushi founder. "Just Sushi is all about change: how we understand the sustainable future of our oceans and the imperative contribution that sustainable sushi will play in that positive future. We hope to lead by example as the first of thousands of sushi restaurants to do so! It will take global awareness and massive change to save our threatened oceans.”
