Chengdu Food Culture Festival was held in Vienna on October 20 according to Xinhua News. Well known chefs of Sichuan cuisine on-site made bell dumplings, Lai Tangyuan, Mapo tofu, egg cake and hot pot, let guests enjoy the tongue pleasure, appreciate the unique food and culture of Southwest China.

At the scene of the festival, the soul of Sichuan cuisine Pixian bean paste, special seasoning of Sichuan cuisine and hot pot, cup cover and other original flavor of the "Chengdu made" collectively appeared, together with the coveted delicacies, constituted a beautiful and unique local cultural card.
 
During the festival, the representative of Chengdu's PI Du District introduced the development of Sichuan cuisine industry in detail. "Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Overseas Promotion Center" and "Pixian Douban Sichuan Cuisine Material Overseas Promotion Center" were established, Chengdu Cuisine has another overseas promotion base.
 
Liao Chengzhen, deputy secretary-general of the Chengdu Municipal Government, in his speech said that Chengdu and Vienna are good at culture, tourism and comfortable lifestyle. Vienna, as the home of the world's music, will positively influence the city of Chengdu, which is building a "music capital"; pandas and gourmet cuisine as Chengdu's business cards, will also inject new vitality into Vienna's economic development.
 
Chen Xiaobing, deputy inspector of Chengdu Commerce Committee, introduced the economic development and opening up of Chengdu, emphasizing the commonality and complementarity between Chengdu and Vienna in culture, industry and other fields. He said that Vienna and Chengdu share the same genes as the famous cultural cities, the capital of music, the love of food, and the beauty and livability of two cities, and the cooperation between us is especially promising in terms of culture.
 
 
2018 Europe•Chengdu Food Culture Festival opened in Prague, capital of Czech on Oct, 18. Following the Prague and Vienna, the festival would also be held in Linz and Brussels.
