The 2019 JD Nanning Wo Orange Festival officially opened on January 19th, 2019, with a festive ceremony in Nanning, Guangxi. Nanning is known in China for its selenium-rich soil, which covers an area of 1.3 million hectares. Wuming County is at the heart of this selenium-rich region and also at the heart of the Wo orange production area. The overall surface devoted to Wo orange production in Nanning is 33 thousand hectares. Wo oranges from Wuming enter the market every year between January and April. Their market prospect looks good this year.
