Watermelon is a rising star. This is a highly sought-after product - thanks to it being full of vitamins, its tasty, juicy flesh, and its beautiful red colour. "We often get asked for watermelon processing machines", reports Dutch machine manufacturer, ZTI, on its website. "This is a nice challenge. The structure of a watermelon requires extremely delicate treatment. This product is easily damaged."

The development of a new smart machine, the Watermelon Peeler, immediately appealed to the company. "It fits in exactly with our fruit processing machines range. The prototype is almost finished. We would very much like to test the machine in practice with a launching customer."

Launching Customer
"That is why we are on the lookout for a large watermelon processing company. If you are, or you know of, such a company, which also likes to be at the forefront of new technological developments, please contact us. Together, we will provide a great new smart machine," reads the report on the ZTI website.
