Vibrating fluid bed dryers, coolers and pellet classifiers from process equipment manufacturer The Witte Co., Washington, New Jersey, are available with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLC) as an option to automate operations of process machinery.

Ensuring accurate, repeatable control over the air temperature, start-up and shutdown sequence and other parameters, the PLC-based, integrated control system helps ensure product quality consistently meets specifications for moisture, particle shape and other requirements, without downtime for manual setup.

The process is automatically monitored for proper operation and data acquisition runs in real-time for instant analysis and adjustments.

Ideal for processing foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, minerals and other materials in continuous or batch-to-batch processes, the Witte dryers, coolers and classifiers with PLC-based controls feature intuitive, touch-screen control panels in full colour for easy operation, all mounted to a mobile pedestal for proper ergonomics and operator convenience.

The PLC-based control system may be customised for each machine and process and may be retrofit on Witte process equipment in the field.
