Worthy Brewing in Bend, Oregon, US, has installed SunMaxx Solar's solar thermal system at its new building that occupies around 28,000ft² of a two story building.

Installed by Sunlight Solar Energy, the system is expected to provide the brewery with approximate 20% solar fraction and help it reduce its carbon foot print.

The system includes 56 TitanPower Plus SU24 roof mounted solar hot water collectors and a StorMaxx non-pressurized 2000gal solar storage tank.

The new building will house the brewery, restaturant and a future hops garden and greenhouse.

SunMaxx sales manager Ed Gunn said any business that uses a lot of hot water can profit greatly from a solar hot water installation.

"Breweries everywhere are recognizing the amazing benefits and cost advantages to going solar and we are thrilled to provide our solution as part of their energy plan! SunMaxx hopes that this solar brewery installation and other brewery installs encourage others to make the solar thermal investment."
