Codex, which is run jointly by the WHO and FAO, sets various guidelines to promote international food safety. Further information on the 36th Session can be found in the following USDA report.
This year's pesticide MRLs were proposed in the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR) Report, published after their meeting in May. The www.mrldatabase.com will be updated to reflect the new standards upon publication of the 2013 CAC Report, expected later this summer, and will be included in the BCI MRL News when this occurs.
