On July 19, 2013, France notified the WTO of a proposed amendment, "Order amending the Order of 19 October 2006 on the use of processing aids in the manufacture of certain foodstuffs.” The proposal revises the conditions of use for sodium hypochlorite and two enzymes. The final date for comments is September 17, 2013. The document is available only in French.

France’s food additive use regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database as part of the European Union. However, processing aids and enzymes typically do not fall within the scope of the database.
