US food manufacturer Ventura Foods has signed a supply agreement with Oleo-Fats (OFI) to produce and distribute its food products in the Asia-Pacific region as part of its expansion strategy.

Oleo-Fats is a subsidiary of customized food and plastics producer D&L Industries. The company believes that the partnership will enable OFI to sustain its exports growth through Ventura Foods' existing businesses across Asia-Pacific.

Under the terms of the deal, Oleo-Fats will develop and produce the specialty products for the food service, retail and ingredient manufacturing industries of the region.

Ventura Foods International president Yann Kervoern said: "We have identified the Asia-Pacific region as a key expansion market, and we are excited to engage Oleo-Fats as our partner in the Philippines."

Production is slated to take place at OFI's Mercury Plant in Quezon City.

Ventura Foods manufactures branded and custom-made dressings, mayonnaises, sauces, shortenings, oils, margarines, culinary bases and pan coatings.
