Dow Corning Corporation offers its XIAMETER® brand silicone antifoaming agents to improve productivity in food and beverage chemistry. The silicone antifoaming agents are designed to safely and effectively minimize problems with foam under the variety of conditions encountered when processing food and beverages.

Silicone antifoams can be used as pure liquids, powders, in a combination or as emulsions, and will help to create supply across food and beverage markets—like the global market for confectioneries.

“Foaming issues in food and beverage processing applications can create spillovers that negatively impact efficiency, productivity and cost," said Don Burchalski, global marketing manager for Dow Corning's XIAMETER brand. “Silicone antifoams destabilize and collapse bubbles, allowing confectioners to avoid having to stop production to clean up spills."
