Zembrim is the first patented, standardized and clinically studied extract of Sceletium tortuosum. The companies have completed the NDI notification process, and will now make the ingredient available throughout North America for the first time.
The ingredient can be incorporated into functional food and beverage products interested in its stress-relieving and mood-enhancing effects. In a recent randomized, double-blind study, researchers studied 20 healthy adults with 25 mg doses of Zembrin. The Zembrin group experienced significant improvement in cognitive set flexibility and executive function.
