Bayn Europe and the Barentz Group have signed an agreement for a long-term cooperation regarding the supply and distribution of EUREBA – a line of stevia extract blends supplied by Bayn. The agreement gives Bayn access to the European Barentz’ customer base and distribution channel.

“Barentz is a very good partner for Bayn because of its food ingredients expertise combined with its wide network of customers within the food industry in Europe,” said Lennart Holmström, chairman of Bayn. “We expect a significant growth of sales in 2013. With this collaboration we can both focus on our main areas of expertise: Barentz on the route to market and Bayn on technical support and product development.”

The two companies will also cooperate in research and development to develop sevia application recipes for their customer base.

“We are happy that our cooperation with Bayn now is established on a long-term basis,” said Geert Ingelbert, vice president of Barentz Food Solutions: “We see that the demand for stevia is growing. Since our focus is on quality, service and innovation, we want to offer our customers the highest quality stevia on the market. EUREBA is a quality product and Bayn’s scientific team also offers us additional applications support and is highly innovative in its own research for new stevia applications. All of these benefits are very important to us in choosing Bayn as our stevia supplier.”

Bayn says that it has the capacity to meet the requirements of Barentz’ large customer base due to its cooperation with several Chinese stevia manufacturers.
