This was following three nominations won by the company.
According to a release, the Care bottle packaging design created by the company won in the transport packaging category. The fusion of padding and packaging stood out for the judges. Care is delivered as a singular piece with both components glued together. When preparing the packaging, the cushion automatically aligns itself. This secures the bottle for transportation by shipping service providers. The customer saves around 50% of handling costs due to the innovative construction.
The second honour came its way when its Stairway staged shelf packaging won in the display and promotion packaging category.
Dirk Busemeyer, innovation manager, Smurfit Kappa, said, "We are excited about this recognition, and take it as an incentive for further work."
