The Rheonova technology platform has been developed by Floralis and the Laboratory for Rheology and Procedures and Floralis - the technlogy transfer subsidiary of the University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France.

The technology platform is based on Rheology, which is the study of the flow of matter, primarily in the liquid state. Currently, the platform includes a multidisciplinary team necessary to address the industrial demands.

According to Floralis, the studies developed by the team can have a significant impact in optimizing manufacturing processes and also in supporting research and development campaigns, thereby providing companies a competitive advantage.

Rheonova's methodology focuses on developing highly relevant flow studies replicating the extreme conditions often found in industrial settings. The platform is further strengthened by its affiliation with over 15 characterization platforms managed by Floralis covering fields such as analytical chemistry, microscopy and electromagnetic studies, reported Foodingredientsfirst.com.

Floralis CEO Eric Larrey said that the company decided to a create technology platforms that offer a range of high value-added-services provided by the experts, which precisely match the needs of the private sector.

"The fact that these personnel continue to work within the laboratory as academics, ensures that they remain totally up-to-speed with the latest advances in their relevant field" Larrey added.
