US-based fast-casual chain MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, has unveiled its first overseas outlet in Dubai, UAE, as part of global expansion.

The new outlet is located at the Ibn Battuta Mall and is the first of at least 10 outlets to be owned and operated by Awgal Investments, which has entered into a multi-unit development agreement with Menafex.

The outlet is also one among four new launches scheduled to open in the Middle East before 2013-end. The company is also eyeing Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.

Commenting on the launch, MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes CEO and president Bill Spae believes the timing is right for international expansion as the company opens its 50th restaurant in the US.

"Menafex's experience in successful multi-brand support and international development, along with its excellent connections and enthusiasm for the MOOYAH brand, all make MENAFEX the perfect partner to spearhead our growth in the Middle East," added Spae.

MOOYAH, which is currently in 11 states, has nearly doubled its number of restaurants in 2012.

In 2013, MOOYAH is continuing its expansion to take its total outlet count to nearly 65. The brand is also developing in Canada and Latin America, in addition to the Middle East.
