South Wales pastry manufacturer Peter’s Food Services has extended into the frozen category with the launch of pork sausages exclusively in Tesco.

Peter’s is renowned for its range of pies, pasties, and sausage rolls, which have been sold in Wales for decades.

The company also manufactures sausages for food service customers such as chip shops and cafes, but the launch in Tesco is the first time Peter’s sausages will be available for the public to purchase and cook at home.

The 720g bags contain 16 pork sausages and provide good value for money with a recommended retail selling price of £3.20.

On promotion, the bags will be offered at two for £5 or 50p off.

Peter’s Marketing Director Clare Morgan said:

“Peter’s is fortunate to have a loyal following in Wales, and as our consumers already buy into the frozen category, our extension into the frozen sausage retail market was a natural next step.
