Korea recently announced the renaming and restructuring of their Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). Formerly operating as the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA), the agency has been upgraded to ministry status. MFDS is responsible for regulating MRLs in foodstuffs, testing for pesticide residues, and overseeing other tasks related to food safety in Korea.
