On June 15, 2013, the European Commission published Commission Regulation (EU) No 545/2013, amending Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008 regarding the flavouring substance 3-acetyl-2,5-dimethylthiophene.

The amendment entered into force on June 16, 2013. The European Union’s food additive use regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database, though flavorings typically do not fall within the scope of the database.
