"Controlled-atmosphere storage technology is a very useful application to lengthen the storage life and shelf life of fruits and vegetables. In the past few years, we have cooperated with research institutions both in China and beyond. When it comes to this technology, we have already become one of the leading enterprises in China," says Ms. Duan Yu from Dehezi Artificial Environment Technology in Beijing.

"The idea of a controlled-atmosphere storage was thought of a few years back, as people know. But most companies have only built installations with simple air-adjusted storage. In fact, they don't have any air-adjusting installations. Speaking in terms of functions, they are similar to a preservation room with preservation at low effectiveness."

Towards large-scale company clients

"As people are become more knowledgeable about these facilities, our client base is gradually expanding. Currently, mostly large-scale fruit and vegetable enterprises make use of our services. There are Qifeng Fruit, Haiken Group, Lianxiang Households and the soon-to-be largest logistics company of China, Sichuan Yangguang Taste."

Strengthening cooperation with the Netherlands
"Technology is the core of our enterprise. For many years, we have cooperated with the China Agriculture Technology Institute, the China Forestry Scientific Research Institute, the China Agriculture University and other big research and development institutions. We also collaborate with many Dutch Science and Technology Institutions. We have also established a controlled atmosphere research centre with the Dutch VA company and Wageningen University."

"We are the only company in China that is an authorised seller of the technology of the Dutch VA company. Every time we proceed with a large-scale project, we invite the Dutch technology experts to come to China and give us guidance. As an enterprise we integrate research, production, sales, design and installation into one unified service. In the future, we will keep innovating and pushing the technology forward while also making our products as long-lasting as possible."
