On June 30, 2013, Turkey’s Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock published a comprehensive food additive use regulation. This regulation, in Turkish, contains a full list of authorized food additives and maximum use levels, and is based on the European Union’s food additive use regulations. The annex, including maximum use levels, may be accessed at this link.

This regulation took effect on July 1, 2013, replacing the previous regulation from 2011. Turkey’s food additive use regulations are not currently included in the International Food Additive Database, but are being considered for future inclusion.
