A report on agricultural exports to countries of Europe and the Gulf area issued by the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine of the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture has revealed rising exports of citrus fruits, potatoes and vegetables, totalling approximately 2.984 million tonnes, including 634 thousand tonnes of potatoes, 1.396 million tonnes of citrus and 948 thousand tonnes of vegetables.

Dr Saad Moussa, head of the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine, said in a statement that new markets are opening for Egyptian citrus fruits that are boosting export rates, pointing out that all shipments meet the Egyptian quality requirements and specifications and that there are no logistics obstacles. All products are also free from any diseases, according to the food safety standards, with samples being taken for analysis to ensure the absence of any problems.
