Demand for import fruit in Shanghai rose sharply during the National Holiday. Popular were mangosteen, durian and mango from South East Asia, European kiwifruit and Australian blood oranges and cherries.

Prices during the National Holiday are usually higher than in other weeks of the year. However, compared to last season, the price increase was moderate. Vietnamese dragon fruit sold at 9 yuan per kg, compared to 11 yuan last year.

Most expensive products on the market are mango's at 15 Yuan per kg, kiwi's at 10 Yuan per kg and sweet pomelo at 7 Yuan per kg.
