Taiwan recently restructured and re-launched its former Department of Health (DOH) as the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW). Among its responsibilities relating to food safety, MOHW is responsible for regulating pesticide residues and the use of food additives, which are carried out through its Food and Drug Administration.
