Bozkurt Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Acar, reported that 250 tons of apple exports to Germany and the Netherlands have been carried out recently from Inebolu a town in Turkey's Black Sea region.

In a statement to an Anadolu Agency correspondent, Acar stated that this year Inebolu has had an abundant apple season.

The huge amount of apples has pleased locals, Acar reports “The trees this year are filled with apples. The good quality apples are taken to market. A selection are stored for the winter months. A kilo of fallen apples is sold for 10 Euro cents a kilo to wholesalers.”

Acar states that so far since the beginning of the season 250 tons of apples have been exported to Germany and Holland.
