Large Chinese packaging manufacturer finds footing in US
As one of the largest manufacturers of plastic bags for the food and fresh produce industry in China…As one of the largest manufacturers of plastic bags for the food and fresh produce industry in China, FJ Packaging is very familiar with packaging for the fresh produce sector. But with a new sales office in the United States they hope to connect with the American fresh produce industry the same they've done in their home country.
“We manufacture plastic bags for fruit,” said James Han of FJ Packaging. “But, as the largest manufacturer of packaging for fresh produce in China, we also produce films and other kinds of packaging.” He hopes that the success they enjoy in China will translate over to the United States, and their new sales office in California is a step in that direction. Another step is exhibiting at the upcoming PMA Fresh Summit in October.
“We would sell to distributors in the United States before, but we couldn't control the marketing or anything like that, so we opened an office in the US to have a more direct line with the customer,” said Han. “So, at this year's Fresh Summit, we want to meet a lot of customers, growers and consumers and get them to know us.” You can find FJ Packaging at this year's PMA Fresh Summit and learn more about their packaging options at booth #4711.
