Earlier this month, the European Commission’s Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCFCAH) published a Summary Report of a recent Toxicological Safety of the Food Chain meeting. The report contains various statements and opinions on the use of food additives and on Commission Regulations regarding food additives.

The SCFCAH delivers opinions to ensure the effectiveness of EU food safety decisions and regulations. The European Union is included in the International Food Additive Database.
