The Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has announced that Vietnam is going to export many kinds of fruits to strict markets as bilateral procedures have been done, for instance mango to Japan, rambutan to New Zealand, star apple and mango to the U.S., and dragon fruit to Taiwan (China).

China was still Vietnam’s largest farm produce market in the first eight months this year, reported the department.

Businesses exported 700,000 tons of dragon fruits to China last year and the same number in the first eight months this year. In addition, 150,000 ton litchi, 7,000 ton fresh longan and 3,000 ton dried longan were sold to this market in eight months.
