7-Eleven has partnered with Foodpanda to launch a delivery service in Malaysia. "Extra convenient" option for shoppers.

Shoppers can access the service via an app or through the website, as well as by telephone.

Payment options are flexible, including online payment and cash on deliver. To celebrate the launch of the service, delivery is free for a limited period.
Merging online and convenience creating new opportunities for impulse purchasing

The partnership will be mutually beneficial: Foodpanda extending its offer into groceries, 7-Eleven building on the experience of Malaysia's biggest food delivery platform.

Delivery will offer a key point of difference for 7-Eleven in the Malaysian market, where online grocery retailing is beginning to gain momentum. Market leader Tesco launched an online platform last summer, whilst the service is unique amongst convenience operators.

Merging convenience and online channels, with flexible payment options and fast delivery times will provide new opportunities for impulse categories, and compliment 7-Eleven's store portfolio of over 1,500 outlets in the market. The 7-Eleven franchise in Malaysia is operated by domestic company Berjaya Retail Berhad.
