From the 15th to the 17th of May, iFresh organised its annual Spring conference in Shanghai that united Chinese participants in the fresh produce industry. On the Monday and Tuesday, a number of lectures were organised that covered current issues that mark the Chinese sector. This included an overview of recent import and export data, the implementing of modernisations among growers and packers and the importance of building fruit and vegetable brands to strengthen marketing capabilities.

The exhibitors covered a wide range of companies, including fruit and vegetable growers, packers and packaging producers, technology providers, online marketing experts and other auxiliary products and service providers. Participants from across China travelled to Shanghai to attend the exhibition.

A number of foreign exhibitors were present, including Summerfruit Australia and Italian kiwi brand Sweeki. Both see potential in marketing their products on the Chinese market.
