The European Commission approved 33 new promotional programs for European agricultural products. These programs will contribute to opening new markets and increase the consumption of these products in the EU and in third countries. Expenditure in these programs will total € 108 million, of which € 54 million will come from the EU budget, as announced by the Commission.

The measures include different types of awareness and advertising campaigns about the benefits of European products in terms of quality, food safety, product labelling, nutrition, environmental and other production methods.

Selected programs will cover different product categories, including dairy, meat, fresh and processed vegetable and fruit products, protected geographical indications, organic products and more.
