On August 27th, the Silicon Valley self-driving car company, AutoX, released a trial version of the commercial service AutoX Autonomous Delivery and provided the first self-driving fresh delivery service in California. The first partners included the well-known organic fresh e-commerce GrubMarket and other local high-end food supplier.

After the customer makes an order, the driverless car will deliver the goods within ten minutes. In addition, the car will also provide self-service shelves including common items such as snacks, drinks, fresh food and convenience items. Users can purchase the products they want.

AutoX has established research and development centers and production bases in Shenzhen and Changzhou. It cooperates with a number of domestic transportation and logistics companies to promote commercialization in both China and the United States. Earlier this month, AutoX announced a strategic partnership with the US group and began preparing an autonomous food delivery service in China.
