First, the variety of available fruits is huge and the market share of apples is getting smaller and smaller. The number of fruits in the country has increased year by year. Although the northern fruits, represented by apples, have reduced production by more than 10 million tons this year, many melons and southern fruits have increased significantly. In 2018, the total amount of fruits and vegetables in the country is the same as last year.
Second, there are fewer excellent new varieties.
Third, the quality problem is more serious. There are many problems with this year's national inventory of apples: poor quality when entering the storage; long storage time; low amounts of organic matter in the soil that affects the quality, appearance and storage of apples. The apple packaging defective rate is up to 30%.
Fourth, the price is high and affects consumption.
Fifth, the exports of apples are not ideal. Indonesia stopped importing apples for three months in July, and India has stopped for 13 months.
Sixth, the company's own brand is not strong enough.
