The peach harvest in Egypt has started a little earlier this year. "Between 30 and 40% of the production is usually intended for domestic consumption, although it depends on the quality of the product," explains Gad, who also assures that if the quality of the product is high, "Egyptian companies are willing to export 100%."

This year, the local price is slightly higher than in previous years due to the exchange rate of foreign currencies and the Egyptian Pound. "At the moment, I don't know what the international price is, because the campaign is only just starting," affirms Gad. Also, as with all products and in most countries, we must take into account that "there is always competition, although this should not have an impact as long as there is a constant supply of high quality products at low prices," concludes Gad.
