The slightly strained Austrian onion market situation has not changed. The products which are available are good enough. In terms of quantity and/or quality, there is still some marketing pressure among individual farmers, but the sales side is quite receptive. Demand on the domestic market is average and goods can be exported with corresponding price concessions. The prices are generally the same as last week. Loose onions are sorted into boxes and bought depending on quality and size for between 9 and 13 euro per 100kg.

The Lower Austrian carrot market is looking solid just before the Easter holidays. Sales volumes on the domestic market continue to do well and goods are also being exported at a steady rate. The prices in the LEH could be increased last. Goods in a 1kg bag from the packaging point are now usually bought at between and 58 to 63 euro per 100kg.
