The XuZhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has reported that the city of XuZhou in 2016 has exporte…The XuZhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has reported that the city of XuZhou in 2016 has exported 243 thousand and 700 tons of fresh garlic, with a total value 433 million US dollars. The year-on-year growth has increased by 35.7%. The export amount hit a record high.
PiZhou, the main garlic producing area of XuZhou city, currently has more than 300 thousand acres of export garlic planting fields. The garlic is mainly exported to Southeast Asia, th Middle East, South America and other regions.
Garlic exported to Indonesia accounted for more than 80% of total exports.
