Senasa affirmed that their priority is giving Chile access to Peruvian blueberries and plans to have the approval within the next couple of months. While Chile has confirmed that they will speed up the negotiations to make it possible.

As for fresh grapes and peppers, both entities plan to begin exporting to Chile within 2016. In 2017, they plan to begin shipments of Peruvian cherimoya, prickly pear and aguaymanto, then in 2018 they will approve granadilla, sweet lemon and potato.

Chilean products expected to enter Peru starting this year include tomatoes and watermelon.
