The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received an immediate notification on Monday, 14 April. According to the report, all three outbreaks took place on 21 February.

On 3 April, a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test was conducted at the Government Budget Institution, Primorskaya Interregional Veterinary Laboratory. The test confirmed the presence of the classical swine fever virus.

In the first outbreak, the wild boar’s carcass was found near Novogeorgievka. The animal was sampled for the monitoring of classical swine fever.

In the second outbreak, the wild boars were shot near Gribovka. The animals were sampled for the monitoring of classical swine fever.

In the last outbreak, the wild boar was shot near Domikan. The animal was sampled for the monitoring of classical swine fever.

The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive.
