Guizhou Qinghao Fruit Co., Ltd. (hereafter 'Qinghao Fruit') is research and development company that produces new kiwifruit product varieties and combines kiwifruit plantation, fresh storage, and refined processing. Qinghao Fruit has already released its fresh kiwifruit, kiwifruit juice, dried kiwifruit, and candied kiwifruit under the brand "7bugo". The brand entered the commercial market in 2015. Since then, 7bugo kiwifruit has earned its place in the market through top-quality products and excellent brand visibility. Mr. Joe Shen talked about the experience and market strategy of 7bugo in the kiwifruit industry.

"7bugo achieved its goals in the kiwifruit industry in only four years. There are several reasons for this achievement: first, the shape of our kiwifruit is unique. It is cylindrical, slightly longer and narrower than most kiwifruit. Second, the flavor of our kiwifruit is excellent, and the fruit is fragrant and juicy as well. Third, we grow our kiwifruit in ecological plantations in organic, traditional fashion without any chemicals that swell the kiwifruit to the desired size. The production process of 7bugo kiwifruit is natural, which results in a kiwifruit flavor that is 7 parts sweet to 3 parts sour."

"The optimum market supply period of 7bugo kiwifruit is between October and December. We use our own warehouses with climate control to extend the supply period of our kiwifruit. We supply cold-storage kiwifruit from March until August. The quality of cold-storage kiwifruit is the same as fresh kiwifruit. Around 90% of 7bugo kiwifruit is sold through wholesale markets throughout China."

"Our company mainly trades in wholesale markets of larger cities, and the kiwifruit is then carried to nearby medium and smaller markets. In addition, we are working to expand our business through supermarket promotions and sample tasting activities. 7bugo is one of the key enterprises in the economy of Guizhou. The Bureau of Agricultural Investment in the government of Xiuwen County greatly supports our efforts. With their help and through our unique brand strategy, we are proud to bring Guizhou kiwifruit to consumers all over China. We believe that 7bugo will conquer the market with its unique flavor and the velvet green, cylindrical shape of its fruit."

"In the future, while we continue to steadily develop our share of the high-end kiwifruit market in China, we will also try to extend our reach beyond China to overseas markets. Before we can realize this ambition, however, we need to carefully consider distribution. The Southeast Asian market is relatively close to China and will be the first focus of our overseas effort. Of course we do not ignore other markets, such as the European and American markets. We also open our door to interested buyers from these areas. Even though the distance to European and American markets is relatively great, we can still guarantee fresh products through the application of our advanced, cold-storage facilities. Actually, we already tested this technology not long ago with the export of a small volume of kiwifruit to Canada."
