Fruit and vegetables worth more than $125 mln exported in two months

Fruit and vegetable exports from Pakistan during first two months of current financial year saw a 23.49% and 82.88% growth respectively, year-on-year.

During the period from July-August, 2021, about 97,677 tons of fresh fruits worth $87.389 million exported as compared the exports of 87,760 tons worth $70.777 million of same month of last year.

Meanwhile, over 121,927 tons vegetable of different also exported from the country to fetch $38.226 million, which was stood at 53,541 tons valuing $20.929 million of same period last year, according the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

On month on month basis, local fruits export registered about 34.50% growth and vegetables export grew by 150.09% respectively in August, 2021 as compared the exports of same month last year.
