In an attempt to distinguish its cranberry offerings, the Canadian company Fruit d’Or now has a verified supply and harvest of non-GMO cranberry ingredients. The company earned its certification from the Non-GMO Project.

Fruit d’Or’s achievement applies to the company’s conventional and organic cranberry ingredients, known respectively by the brand names Cran Naturelle and Cran d’Or. The company believes it may be the only cranberry supplier with such certification, and it says that an added bonus is that the company does not use ethylene oxide to sterilize any of its harvesting equipment.

Fruit d’Or is the world’s largest grower and processor of organic cranberry ingredients, including syrups, oils, powders, protein, and bulk raw fruit. The company is even exploring a new potential market for insoluble cranberry PACs.
