Newly Weds Foods has acquired New Jersey based Continental Seasoning for an undisclosed amount.

Continental Seasoning's primary business comprises seasoning blends, spices, and ingredient processing aids for servicing meat, poultry, meat snack and seafood processors.

Newly Weds Foods president Charles Angell said that Continental Seasoning has been a strong regional competitor and built a solid base of loyal customers over their 50 year history.

"Their customers have come to expect quality ingredients and a high level of support," Angell added.

"Newly Weds Foods is very similar in how it has grown customer relationships. We look forward to servicing Continental Seasoning's customers and their needs in a seamless and like fashion through the transition and long term."

During the transaction period, all the operations would remain same and the company will carry out business as Continental Seasoning.
