Desmet Ballestra to install CTi’s system at edible oil refinery in Argentina

Desmet Ballestra, a supplier of plants and equipment and licensee of CTi's vegetable oil refining technology, has entered into a sales agreement with a refinery in Argentina that produces vegetable oil.

As per the terms of the agreement, Desmet Ballestra will install CTi's system that is capable of processing 300 tons oil daily. This system will be installed in the third fiscal quarter of 2013.

CTi received initial down payment in second quarter of the current fiscal year while the company expects to receive additional revenue from the deal in the third and fourth quarters of the current fiscal year.

Commenting on the deal, CTi R&D director Varvara Grichko said that this marks the company's the fourth installation in Argentina.

"We look forward to strengthening our relationships with more edible oil refineries in South America in the future, added Grichko.

Desmet Ballestra focuses on engineering and supply of plants and equipment for the oils, fats, animal feed industries, detergents, surfactants and related chemical industries and the oleochemical and biodiesel industries.
