Crystal sugar trading is progressing well with bouyant prices, according to the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics.

Some plants have seen lower prices but value have remained firm as Sao Paulo markets have failed to reach demand.

This is despite production in the South-Central region reaching 34.088 million tons, 8.898 per cent higher than last season.

High prices were around 4 Reals above the lows per bag.
